We were all very saddened at the passing of Jacqueline Gold, the Executive Chairman of Ann Summers.  Her contribution to business, retail, and in particular women in retail, has been well reported, but I would like to add our personal touch.  She was a great support to us when we launched our magazine, The Appointment, granting its then editor Calum Macleod an interview.  He said it was one of the most interesting interviews he had ever done.  I personally met her twice at retail charity events.  I would not be possible not to be charmed by this person.  All our thoughts at RHR and The Retail Appointment are with her friends and family and with the wider Ann Summers family that was her workforce.
